Do you need help identifying your career passions? If so, there is still time to sign up for the interactive discussion, Fellows’ Corner – Should I Subspecialize, an opportunity to connect with women faculty who will share their experiences about specializing and becoming experts in their medical fields.
The inaugural online event, to be held September 22, 2023, 6-7pm CDT, is hosted by Women in Nephrology (WIN), an organization founded in 1983 to promote professional development, mentorship, and education for women and men in nephrology.
Leading and moderating the discussion panel will be WashU Nephrology’s Anuja Java, MD, who is a senior WIN councilor. Emily Zangla, DO, a nephrology fellow at University of Minnesota and Angelina Dixon, MD, a fellow at University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, will co-lead the event.
Panelists include our own Tingting Li, MD, MSCI, FASN, a specialist in glomerular diseases at WashU Nephrology; Shruti Gupta, MD, MPH, a specialist in onconephrology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; and Mala Sachdeva, MD, a specialist in obstetrics nephrology at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
We at WIN are excited for this inaugural panel discussion for the newly launched Fellows’ Corner initiative. This is the first of many to follow. Future discussions will continue to focus on topics relevant to fellows and junior faculty.
