Congratulations to Manasa Metireddy, MD, Assiociate Professor of Medicine, WashU Nephrology, for being one of the ten Department of Medicine’s faculty members recently honored with the 2025 Dean’s Impact Award.
The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to mentorship, sponsorship, and service. Introduced in 2023 to honor faculty members for their resourcefulness and creativity in guiding the university through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dean’s Impact Award has since expanded its scope to celebrate enduring contributions across all areas of the university’s missions, including clinical care, education, research, and community engagement.
Dr. Metireddy, who joined our division in 2018, brings extensive experience as both a private practice nephrologist and a hospitalist. She is actively involved in community-based initiatives at our division’s North County CKD (chronic kidney disease) clinics and dialysis units.
In addition, Metireddy provides care for veterans with kidney disease at the North County CBOC (Community-Based Outpatient Clinic), a satellite facility operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Located in Florissant, Missouri, this clinic offers outpatient medical services to veterans in the surrounding area, providing convenient access to healthcare and reducing the need to travel to larger VA medical centers.
Previously, Metireddy received a Project Award from The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital to support her research on improving transitional care for dialysis patients. Most recently, she collaborated with WashU Rheumatology to establish a Lupus clinic in North County.
Dr. Metireddy’s philosophy centers on providing high quality care that is tailored to each patient. She believes it is important to listen to her patients, be their advocate and strive to make a positive impact in their life.
