David Windus, MD spent a week in February at Mekelle University in Ethiopia teaching nephrology to internal medicine residents. Topics included a range of electrolyte and acid-base disorders, glomerular diseases and acute kidney injury. Other activities included bedside teaching rounds covered with a range of interesting nephrology cases. Several of the Mekelle internal medicine residents have a strong interest in nephrology as a career.
