Happy Holidays! WashU Nephrology is again supporting the STL Area Food Bank this year as they continue with their work to feed the less fortunate in our area.
“It’s easy to donate! We have our own virtual food drive created for WashU Nephrology, and you can just follow the link below to donate and help the team meet their goal,” says Julie McNamara, Administrative Coordinator in our Renal Outpatient Office and principal organizer of the food drive event for the past several years.
Every year, the St. Louis Area Foodbank provides 40-50 million meals to neighbors in need across 26 counties in Missouri and Illinois. A significant portion of this food is acquired through financial contributions from corporations, organizations, and private donors. These donations enable the food bank to fulfill its mission of strengthening the bi-state region by nourishing people, empowering communities, and transforming systems.
“Anything is much appreciated by the members of our community who need a little help,” says McNamara. “Thank you in advance!”
The virtual food link will be open through New Years’ Eve.
