Please join us in welcoming Zheng Hu, MD, MSc, as the new Clinical Research Coordinator for our Glomerular Center of Excellence. The center diagnoses and treats glomerular diseases through a collaborative effort among nephrologists, pathologists, and coordinators.
Originally from China, Zheng has called the St. Louis area home for the past 10 years. She brings a strong background in medical research, having worked at both the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. In 2017, she joined the Washington University community, contributing to basic research through joint projects between our division and the Division of Rheumatology. She now steps into her new role as part of our WashU Nephrology team.
With a strong foundation for formal medical training, hands-on basic medical research, and industry experience, Zheng sees this new position as an ideal fit.
I consider this a fantastic opportunity to combine my previous experiences to serve as a bridge between research and direct patient benefit. I am incredibly excited to leverage this background to support our clinical trials and contribute to the vital work being done here in Nephrology.

Outside of work, Zheng is active in the local community, frequently volunteering in the education sector. To unwind, she enjoys hiking, reading, and practicing Taiji (Tai Chi) with a WashU Tai Chi group every Friday.
