The Renal Division is now accepting applications for its 2016 Translational Innovation Grant. The purpose of this funding program is to provide resources for collaborative research projects between basic and clinical investigators within the Division of Nephrology. Last year’s winners are profiled here.
Successful proposals will feature a well-crafted plan for a research project that represents a true collaboration between research and clinical faculty within the division. Applications that do not cohere, or appear to be two separate grants pasted together, will not be considered responsive. In this cycle, the Division will fund up to one grant. This grant will be funded at a maximum of $50,000 total direct costs per year. Two payments of $25,00 will be made with the second payment contingent on completion of a progress report at six months.
A summary will be due at the end of the funding period. The Division reserves the right not to fund any project, based on the number and quality of applications received. Decisions regarding the appropriate level of funding for any proposed project will be made by the review committee and will take into account the availability of other funding sources.
