It’s that time of year again! The annual Holiday Bingo Games will be held in the Chromalloy American Kidney Center (CAKC) on December 19 and 20, 2018, during all three dialysis shifts, 7:30 am, 11:00 am, and 2:30 pm.

Organizer of the event, Brenda Bingel, RN, MSN, and Nurse Administrator at CAKC, is putting out a call for prizes for the event. Patients receive a small prize for each winning Bingo card.
If you would like to donate, Brenda suggests large-print crossword puzzle books, “seek and find” books, and useable items such soaps, lotions, candles and gloves. Food items such as jams and jellies are OK, but please note that chocolate, nuts, or nut butters are high in potassium and are not recommended for the patients.
Brenda will accept monetary donations and shop for you.
Donating a prize – or your time – is greatly appreciated
You can also help by participating in the event. Brenda welcomes staff, including those who have retired, to come and help call Bingo numbers or hand out prizes.
“The staff and helpers get as much enjoyment out of it as the patients!” says Brenda.

The Holiday Bingo event was started over 30 years ago by Jean Audrain, RN, who is still with the Division of Nephrology as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator.
