Ready, set, GO!  The annual St. Louis National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Kidney Walk will take place 12:30 – 4:00 pm, March 29, 2020, at Westport Plaza.  All WashU faculty, staff and patients are welcome to participate by walking, volunteering or donating.

This year, the individual WashU Nephrology and BJC-WashU Transplant teams are joining forces to form an all new team called “Cool Beans” with co-captains Anubha Mutneja (MD), Teana Allen (medical secretary III), Karen Meredith (clinical nurse coordinator), and Jane Hughes (transplant coordinator) at the helm.  In addition, nephrology fellow Christina Mariam Joy has helped with the organization.

More than 5,500 teams from nearly 100 communities across the country participate in the annual Kidney Walks.  The walks are a vital source of support, with 80 cents of every dollar donated going to research, patient services, professional education, public health education and community services.

The Cool Beans team goal is $6000.   So, please Join our Cool Bean team here and help us meet our goal!  Donate $25 dollars under our team name and you will receive a Cool Bean T-shirt.  You can also purchase a shirt even if you can’t make it to the walk: $15/adult size, $10/child size, $5 for dialysis patients.   Contact one of the co-captains below:
