Join the WashU Nephrology Virtual Food Drive to Help Those in Need This Holiday Season

WashU Nephrology will sponsor a Virtual Food Drive this holiday season to help those in need.

Julie McNamara, medical secretary III in our Renal Outpatient Office, is the principal organizer of the event.

“Since the ‘Adopt-a-Family’ program last Christmas went so well, I thought we could give back again this year with a virtual food drive,” says McNamara, who also organized the program last year.  “This will eliminate having to go to the store, since COVID-1 is so limiting right now.”

The Virtual Food Drive will take place through Wednesday, December 23, 2020, and giving is even easier than before!  The division has its own link to purchase items or make a regular donation through the STL Foodbank.  All funds go directly to the Foodbank to support their hunger relief efforts.  Each dollar donated provides four meals to those in need.

“Happy ‘shopping’ and thank you in advance for anything you can give to those in need!” says McNamara.

You can purchase specific items or make a donation at this STL Foodbank site.
