Welcome to WashU Nephrology

WashU Nephrology Welcomes Carrie Koeller – Our New Inpatient Social Worker

The Division of Nephrology welcomes Carrie Koeller, MSW, LCSW, our new inpatient social worker, who joined the division on December 14, 2020.

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Master of Social Work from St. Louis University.  She is an experienced social worker and has over 12 years of dialysis social work experience.

“I discovered working with renal patients was my passion when I completed my graduate school practicum at an outpatient dialysis facility,” says Carrie, who has spent the past 12 years at DaVita Kidney Care, most recently holding the position as lead social worker.  She has a great interest in patient education and home therapies and looks forward to the opportunity to work with patients on the “inpatient side.”

Working with Missy Rocco, MSW, LCSW, Carrie will help with patient placement and hospital discharge of patients with end-stage renal disease.

“I am very excited to be joining the team and look forward to meeting and working with each of you!”

In her free time, Carrie enjoys traveling, reading, and crafting.
