Ying Maggie Chen will serve on ASN Grants Review Committee

The American Society of Nephrology and KidneyCure (ASN Foundation) have invited Ying Maggie Chen, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology, Washington University, to serve on their ASN Grants Review Committee.  

Established in 2012, KidneyCure currently provides over $3 million per year to nephrology fellows and new investigators to help facilitate in their transition to become independent researchers. 

Chen’s primary role on the committee will be to review applications for the Transition to Independence Grants Program and the Ben J. Lipps Research Fellowship Program.  Her term will begin on January 1, 2021, and last through December 31, 2022, encompassing two review cycles.

Chen was recently appointed as a special government employee to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) Nephrology Subcommittee.
