WashU Nephrology News

Stay Updated with the 2024 Fall Nephrology Alumni Newsletter

Please check out our 2024 Fall Nephrology Alumni Newsletter for the latest news and updates at WashU Nephrology.

The newsletter’s lead story highlights The Washington Manual® of Transplant Nephrology, edited by Tarek Alhamad, MD, MS, FACP, FASN, Medical Director of Transplant Nephrology.  The manual offers concise, high-yield information crucial for nephrology fellows, transplant trainees, practitioners, and the whole team involved in pre- and post-transplant care.  Published late last year, the manual is now available in print and digital format.

Alumni Connection: David Basile, former postdoc research fellow.

The Alumni Connection section features David Basile, PhD, a former postdoctoral research fellow at WashU Nephrology (1994-1998), who is now a prominent researcher and Professor of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Kelli King-Morris, MD, is the focus of the Program Spotlight.

Our division’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Nephrology Program, under the direction of Kelli King-Morris, MD, is the focus of the newsletter’s Program Spotlight.  The program is in the process of adding preconception consultations and care for women with kidney diseases who want to become pregnant.

In addition to an introduction to the first four interns of the inaugural SOAR Internship Program held this past summer, the newsletter covers all the latest grants, honors, symposiums, and more!
