Welcome to the Jain Lab. Our mission is to understand development and diseases of the urogenital and nervous systems. We are particularly interested in studying cellular and molecular transitions from acute to chronic injury or recovery. This knowledge base will help understanding mechanisms of injury and also designing more precise therapies to keep kidneys and lower urinary tract healthy across the pediatric and adult lifespan.
To this end, we are using single cell and spatial omics technologies to understand 2D and 3D molecular, cellular and anatomical networks in healthy and disease conditions so we can understand how complex solid organs like kidney are able to maintain homeostasis.
