One of the 2016 Alport Family Meetings is being held in Saint Louis this weekend, July 30-31, at Washington University. The gathering allows patients and families affected by Alport Syndrome to meet each other and obtain updates on the latest research from experts in the field. The meetings also provide the opportunity to learn more about how to manage the disease, find available resources, and how to self-advocate.
Alport Syndrome is an inherited disease characterized by progressive loss of kidney function, hearing loss and eye abnormalities. More information on the meeting can be found here.
The next meeting will be held in Hackensack University, Hackensack, NJ, September 10-11, 2016.
