Nephrologist Will Ross Inducted into Society of Academic Continuing Medical Education’s Academy of Fellows

Will Ross was recently inducted into SACME Academy of Fellows; will address the “hidden curriculum” by reducing racial bias among faculty in the medical encounter.

Will Ross, MD, MPH, Alumni Endowed Professor of Medicine, Nephrology, and Associate Dean for Diversity at Washington University School of Medicine, was inducted into the Academy of Fellows of the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME) at their 2022 annual meeting, which was held virtually February 21-23, 2022.

The SACME Academy of Fellows recognizes international leaders in medical education, continuing medical education (CME) and continuous professional development (CPD) for their long-term contributions to the field.

The fellows serve as a “think tank” to define important trends for the future, to shape the direction of the CME/CPD field, and proactively address a range of national and international imperatives through innovation and creativity. They also provide mentorship to aspiring leaders in the field of medical education, in particular CME/CPD. View all Academy Members here.

Renowned at WashU for his excellence in patient care, teaching, research and commitment to health equity, Dr. Ross has focused on minority healthcare advocacy and the elimination of healthcare disparities for most of his career.
