Ignacio Portales-Castillo, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, WashU Nephrology, will present “Molecular Insights Into PTH/PTHrP Receptor Function Lead to Novel Clinical Applications” at the Department of Medicine’s Medicine Grand Rounds on September 26, 2024, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. in the Wohl Clinic Clopton Auditorium at 4950 Children’s Place.
Breakfast will be available outside the auditorium for this in-person-only event.
Dr. Portales-Castillo, a physician-scientist who joined our division in 2022, provides inpatient and outpatient nephrology consults at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He conducts research on the parathyroid hormone receptor function in the laboratory of Roberto Civitelli, MD, the Sydney M. and Stella H. Shoenberg Chair in Medicine and Chief of the Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases.
Earlier this year, Portales-Castillo won the Rising Stars Power Talks competition for being the best basic science presentation of the 2024 ENDO conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
