We are proud to announce that WashU Nephrology faculty members Steven Cheng, MD, Seth Goldberg, MD, Patricia Kao, MD, MS, Tingting Li, MD, MSCI, and Tim Yau, MD, were among the recipients of the Academy of Educators inaugural Honor Roll Awards for their outstanding contributions to medical education.
The Academy of Educators at Washington University School of Medicine was founded in 2019 by Mary Klingensmith, MD, the Mary Culver Distinguished Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Surgery, to foster a culture of excellence in education across all WashU Medical Campus departments and programs.
Currently led by Abby Spencer, MD, MS, FACP, the Academy encourages creative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. It also organizes mentorship and faculty development programs and supports faculty research and scholarships.
The Academy presented the Honor Roll Awards, and more, during the Education Day celebration at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy Student Center on October 5, 2021. See all Honor Roll Award recipients here.
Other members of the Academy from our Division include Kelli King-Morris, MD, who was inducted in October of 2021, and our Division Chief, Benjamin Humphreys, MD, Joseph Friedman Professor of Renal Diseases in Medicine.
