The Paul Mennes, MD, Memorial St. Louis City-Wide Renal Grand Rounds Dinner returns after a three-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the Bristol Seafood Grill, 11801 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO.
The event, co-hosted by Washington University School of Medicine Division of Nephrology and St. Louis University School of Medicine Division of Nephrology, gives area nephrologists the opportunity to gather for dinner and as they discuss an important renal topic.
This year’s topic is “A Case of the Missing MALT” (in reference to Renal MALT Lymphoma). The evening will feature a case presentation by Tingting Li, MD, MSCI, WashU, a case discussion by Taewoo Lee, MD, PhD, SLU, and a presentation by 2nd-year renal fellow Jonathan Jakubowshi, MD, WashU.
The event is held in honor of nephrologist Paul Mennes, a 1976 graduate of the Nephrology Fellowship Program at Washington University. In 1977, Mennes joined the medical staff at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, where he became Section Chief of Nephrology in the Department of Internal Medicine and Chief of Medicine in 1989. Mennes passed away in 2014.
The reception will begin at 6:15 pm, followed by dinner at 6:45 pm. Case presentation and discussion begin at 7:00 pm. Due to limited seating, the program is limited to healthcare professionals only.
